Before you connect
Which AI clients can connect to FlexQueries MCP?
Any client that supports remote MCP servers and OAuth can connect. The setup docs include current instructions for commonly used clients, including Claude, Codex, and Cursor.
Does the agent get unrestricted access to my account?
No. MCP uses authenticated access and works within the organizations and projects available to the connected FlexQueries account. The server exposes purpose-built tools rather than database access.
How are paid data calls handled?
Metered research tools use the same FlexQueries balance as the web app. Actions that use paid provider data are charged through the platform's pay-as-you-go billing controls.
Can the agent change my data?
Yes. Alongside research tools, an agent can save keywords and start site audits or other supported jobs within your authorized project. Metered jobs spend from your balance. Review tool permissions and confirmation settings in your AI client.
